HEARTECT PLATFORM OF MARUTI SUZUKI



The HEARTECT platform is an automobile platform that underpin various Suzuki models since 2014.



The first point to ascertain in terms of safety is how the car absorbs impact and keeps the passengers safe. The HEARTECT platform combines cutting edge design, rigid metal strength and impact-absorbing body structure. The frame, or chassis itself, has been engineered to disperse the force evenly and ensures that the least amount of force is transferred to the occupants in case of an impact. At the core of this engineering is the fact that with a smooth, continuous shape, with much fewer joint points between parts of the frame, it disperses energy more efficiently as well with no major stress points at which a stress failure can be initiated.


The platform was claimed to utilize 'Ultra and Advanced High Tensile Steel' (UHSS & AHSS). These materials could improve the occupant safety in case of an impact. Suzuki also claimed the platform offers increased body stiffness, better ride and handling. Additionally, the platform helps achieve improved power to weight ratio which results in better performance in terms of drivability.

This flowing frame is better at dispersing impact energy to reduce the impact passed on to occupants, thereby protecting them in the process. The crumple zones are carefully designed to deform upon collision and, in turn, absorb the crash force to reduce the impact and to further improve the safety of the passengers.

Better Driving Dynamics                                      With better power to weight ratio and improved body stiffness, Maruti Suzuki cars built on HEARTECT platform have better ride and handling that enhances the driving experience. The HEARTECT platform is not only safer, but is also engineered to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness levels.
