K-SERIES ENGINES OF MARUTI SUZUKI

 MSIL K-series Gasoline Engine is a engine introduced by Maruiti Suzuki in its range of cars. It is designed in a way to meet optimized engine performance through innovative design techniques. It is currently offered in four different options across its product lineup: K10B, K12M, K15B and Next gen Dual VVT Dual Injector K12N Engine.

Brief description of K-Series Engines:

K15B Petrol Engine:
Engineered for great driving experience the all new K15B is a bigger and powerful 1.5-Litre K-series BS6 petrol engine. This new engine offers superior power & performance along with enhanced fuel efficiency, improved NVH characteristics & engine cooling performance. It delivers a peak power of 77kW@6000rpm with maximum torque of 138Nm@4400rpm which leads to a peppy driving experience with a fuel efficiency of 17.03 km/l*. Applicable Model: Vitara Brezza (Manual Transmission)
K15B Petrol Engine with Smart Hybrid:
The all-new 1.5-Litre K-series BS6 compliant petrol engine also comes paired with the Progressive Smart Hybrid Technology having an advanced dual battery setup which provides Idle Start-Stop, Brake Energy Regeneration and Torque Assist functionality. This 1.5-Litre powertrain is capable of producing a powerful and impressive performance of 77kW@6000rpm. It is available in both manual and automatic transmission options. While the 5 speed manual variant offers a mileage of 20.65 km/l*, the torque converter based Automatic transmissions delivers 20.04 km/l* in Ciaz.

K12N Petrol Engine with Idle Start-Stop:

The next-gen K-series 1.2-Litre Dual Jet BS6 engine with Dual VVT and first-in-segment idle start-stop (ISS) function is low on emissions and high on fuel efficiency. This new engine with higher compression ratio, Dual Variable Valve Timing system, cooled EGR system, redesigned cooling channels with piston cooling jets and use of advanced low friction engine oil offers improved engine efficiency and friction reduction. This leads to best in class fuel efficiency of 23.26 km/l* in MT and 24.12 km/l* in AGS variants. The new K-series engine also offers increased power output of 66kW@6000rpm and is available in both Manual and Automatic Gear Shift (AGS) variants.

K12N Petrol Engine with Smart Hybrid:

The next-gen K-series 1.2-Litre Dual Jet BS6 engine also comes with progressive Smart Hybrid Technology which has an integrated starter generator (ISG) with dual battery setup which provides Idle Start-Stop, Brake Energy Regeneration and Torque Assist functionality. It also delivers exceptional power output of 66kW@6000rpm along with efficient combustion, leading to an impressive fuel efficiency of 23.87 km/l* along with lesser emissions. This engine is designed to ensure a smooth and power packed drive.

K10B Petrol Engine:
K10B Petrol Engine is a 1.0-Litre K-series BS6 compliant petrol engine. It truly boasts a spirited driving performance that’s bound to make your driving experience full of joy. The lightweight and refined 1.0-Litre K-series engine delivers outright performance which ensures unlimited fun and enhanced fuel efficiency of 21.7 km/l* in S-Presso for both manual and AGS variants. With a peak power of 50kW@5500rpm with maximum torque of 90Nm@3500rpm, this engine performs brilliantly in all road conditions.

    Dhuandhar Waterfalls, Madhya Pradesh

      Dhuandhar waterfalls is one of the prominent tourist attractions in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It lies on the course of Narmada River and is located near Jabalpur city.
